About Me

Ryan is an NYC based actor who recently graduated with a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he studied Musical Theater at The New Studio on Broadway.

Growing up right outside of New Haven, Connecticut, Ryan’s backyard became his stage and his family treadmill, his own Les Mis turntable. He made his first appearance onstage as Conrad Birdie in his Middle School’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. Though his hip gyrations were appropriately awkward for an twelve year old boy, he was officially hooked. As a child, Ryan and his best friend would also stage musical cabarets through a foundation that they founded called The Lemonade Gang. Over the years, the Gang has raised over $80,000 for local and national charities.

After graduating High School, Ryan headed to the big city to pursue his dream of attending New York University. Some of his favorite performances at school included Hunter in [title of show], Professor Bhaer in Little Women, Reverend Crisparkle in The Mystery of Edwin DroodRagtime, and his work with charities such as Broadway Dreams and the Broadway Inspirational Voices outreach program at the Ronald McDonald House NY. Ryan also spent a summer with the Summer Theater of New Canaan where he appeared in My Fair Lady and The Wizard of Oz.

Since graduating, Ryan has appeared in the Ivoryton Playhouse production of All Shook Up, Arizona Broadway Theatre's production of Les Miserables, and has been involved in many workshops and readings around town as part of NYMF, The York Theatre, and NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. In June, Ryan got to live out his dream of being in the room firsthand to see Ivy battle out Karen for the role of Marilyn Monroe when he was in the ensemble of the Broadway concert version of Bombshell, working under Marc Shaiman.

In the past few months, Ryan has been taking classes with the Jen Waldman Studio, Japser Grant, Mike Ruckles, The Growing Studio, and Broadway Dance Center.

He is also in the process of developing his own solo cabaret called, "Oprah Winfrey does NOT present: "What I Know For Sure" as part of 54 Below's Concert Lab program.

    Ryan is an EMC candidate.
